About the role
We are looking for a dependable, personable Dental Assistant to support our dentist and hygienists with both clinical and limited front office tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, staying organized, and contributing to a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
- Assist the dentist chairside during exams, fillings, crowns, and other procedures.
- Take and process dental X-rays (if licensed/authorized for radiology in Tennessee).
- Review and update patient medical histories and maintain accurate charts.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and basic oral hygiene education.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with infection control standards.
- Monitor and restock clinical supplies and materials as needed.
- Help with front office tasks as needed, such as checking patients in, scheduling, and confirming appointments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Tennessee dental assisting experience or completion of a dental assistant program preferred.
- Current Tennessee Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) status and radiology certification preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification..
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a calm, professional chairside manner.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Experience with Eaglesoft and Curve dental software is a plus.
- Part-time, variable schedule.
- 2–5 days per week, primarily daytime hours; specific days to be discussed during the interview.
- Hourly pay: $19–$26, based on experience, credentials, and performance.
